Dr. Heather Smith, Au.D. earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders in 2012 and a Doctor of Audiology degree in 2018, both from Idaho State University. She completed her residency at St. Luke’s Elks Hearing and Balance in the Treasure Valley of Idaho, focusing on vestibular assessments and auditory brainstem response evaluations and interpretation.
With over seven years of experience as a board-certified audiologist, Dr. Heather Smith worked at a busy audiology clinic providing comprehensive hearing care to patients of all ages. She also served as the supervising pediatric audiologist for Southern Utah, where she oversaw the newborn hearing screening program. Additionally, she participated in two humanitarian missions to Peru and Mexico, offering hearing care and fitting donated hearing aids for individuals with mild to profound hearing loss.
Dr. Smith approaches hearing care with warmth and expertise. She offers a supportive, pressure-free environment. She administers complete and comprehensive hearing evaluations utilizing the most current technology and she clearly explains results in a way that patients can understand. Her goal is to offer the best hearing solutions for her patients hearing needs, lifestyle and budget.
Residing in St. George with her husband Jeff, Dr. Heather Smith is the proud parent of seven children and has two grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys playing the guitar, hiking, kayaking, and bicycling through the stunning landscapes of Southern Utah.
